Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya is a central university located in the suburban setting of the small city of Wardha, Maharashtra. MAGHV inaugurated in the year 8 January 1997 after receiving the assent from parliament.

The motto of MGAHV is ‘Gyan Shanti Maitri’. MGAHV is considered as the best distance learning colleges. It offers undergraduate, master’s, postgraduate, or distance learning courses to students. The reason behind establishing this university is the promotion and development of Hindi language and literature.

Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya started distance learning courses in the year 2007 and was inaugurated by former president of India Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam. MGAHV has all his distance learning courses in only Hindi language. The motive behind choosing only Hindi is to make Hindi very powerful like all other foreign languages.

  • Candidate should have graduation degree with at least 50% marks from recognized university. But, for SC/ST candidates must have 45% marks to apply for B. Ed

Admission process

  • Apply for the Particular Course

Students who are applying to MGAHV through distance mode have to fill the form available at http://hindivishwa.org/distance/ and submit it by depositing the required documents and fee

  • Entrance Examination

After submitting the form, students have to appear for the entrance examination, which will be conducted by the university itself. Successful students who clear the written test need to appear for a personal interview. Based on the marks obtained in written and interview, final merit will be made and university will release selected candidate’s name on the website

  • Offline/Online Form

Students can fill the form online or offline mode. If they are filling the form offline, they need to purchase the form from the office of Deputy Registrar and submit all details by depositing fee

  • For B. Ed Course

Students who are applying for B. Ed at MGAHV should note there will be a merit-based admission

Students who are applying to MGAHV for distance learning courses have to submitted the fee along with application form.

Scholarships

MGAHV provides scholarships to students as well. University has already set criteria for scholarships to students.

1. For Master program- Student will get Rs. 1000/ month

2. For M. Phil and P. PhD program- Student will get Rs. 500 and 800/ month

3. For Postgraduate program- Student will get Rs. 750/month (only for SC/ST)

MGAHV offers good placement facilities to its students. We have seen many students who had been a part of the university in past get placed in great companies. University provides great opportunities to its students every year. Many companies, organizations visit every year for placement and hired eligible candidates. But, for distance education students, the placement facility is less. It totally depends on the candidate’s qualities, skills, and capabilities.

MGAHV has a semesters-based curriculum and examination. There is no trimester. Every year around 1,500 students get enrolled at MGAHV.
