Students who wish to pursue the Master of Arts course need to meet the following eligibility criteria.

  • Applicants must complete their Bachelor's degree (BA is preferable)
  • A Bachelor's degree should be done by UGC recognized universities.
  • Applicants must score a minimum of 50% in their Bachelor's degree. The cut-off marks changes from college to college.
  • SC/ST/OBC and differently-abled applicants are offered 5% relaxation in the cut off marks.


MA Entrance Exams



MA course has many entrance exams at the national level, university level, and state level. Some of the standard MA entrance exams include IPU CET

This entrance exam is conducted by IP University Delhi. It is a university level entrance examination for admission in PG and UG courses. It is an online exam. The exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions.


This entrance exam is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University for all admitting students in postgraduate, undergraduate and Ph.D. courses. It is an online exam. In this exam, 70% of questions are multi-choice questions and the remaining 30% is viva-voce. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.


BHU PET is a university-level exam conducted by Banaras Hindu University for admission in various PG courses in the commerce, social sciences, agriculture, and environment sectors.

It is an offline exam and is conducted in both Hindi and English medium. It has multi-choice questions, and the duration of the exam is 3 hours.
